Rigging Skinning and Movement

I think the texture needs much more work. It was a 5 minute test of the uv mapping. So far the rigg is missing a back leg, but it allows for some nice movement in the head and front legs as you can see.

Getting Better..... I don't like the texture up close but the mesh has been UV mapped. I think animating is next.

Horse's Eyes and Twitter

So I started a twitter page to gain followers interested in this project or the final game.

Today I decided the horse needed eyes and nostrils so the mesh can be completely done ... I haven't decided if the mane and tail will go on now or later.

The horse's eyes and nostrils are finished. This guy needs some texture. I've started on the UV mapping for the texture but that will take some time. That's all for tonight it's late.

Making Barn Rat's Horse Mesh

Making the horse took a few hours. I'm fairly new to blender but once I had made a few easy objects and watched a few you tube tutorials I didn't have much problems. The next part is unwrapping the mesh and making and applying the texture.

Barn Rats Game

This blog is about a game called Barn Rats. The name was inspired by the name my riding teacher called the group of girls that would never leave the barn "The Barn Rats". In the game world you will be able to have a horse to take care of and ride, meet friends, own a barn or a house. This version of Barn Rats will be 3D with a 1st person view while riding for a real experience.

I want to share my love of horses with people who don't have the opportunity to ride or who can't seem to get enough horse time in their life. I hope that this game might inspire some to learn to ride and to make friends.

Barn Rats has been a work in process for many years, with each version the game graphics and concepts just keep getting better. I really hope that this time I will be able to share this horse world with everyone.
